The changes will go live next month, giving customers ample time to prepare for the transition.

RegScan Releases OSH Plus Audit Protocols

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (March 5, 2014) - RegScan, Inc. is pleased to announce the development of original online audit protocols for the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, better known as Cal/OSHA.

Developed as a supplement to our U.S. TEAM (The Environmental Assessment and Management) Guides products, these comprehensive audit protocols keep California facilities in compliance with the strictest safety standards in the United States.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is generally viewed as the gold standard in workplace safety. California's standards protect workers from hazards on the job by ensuring safe and healthful working conditions. Cal/OSHA modifies the guidelines contained in the Federal OSHA program, offering greater levels of protection, and adds standards to provide coverage where there is no Federal counterpart.

"Our customers have clearly expressed a need for this product, so the time was right to develop it," said Ned Ertel, President and C.E.O. of RegScan. "These audit protocols can help any organization - in California and beyond - set a new standard for safety that extends well beyond the Federal requirements."

Cal/OSHA audit protocols are fully integrated with the RegScan One platform and our California state regulatory database. Through the applicability tools, users can create custom audit protocols specific to their needs. Export them to My WatchList, and they will be automatically monitored for changes. Cal/OSHA audit protocols are updated annually, just like the U.S. TEAM Guides state supplements. State regulations are updated quarterly, and the online California Regulatory Notice Register is updated as often as new information is published.

The Cal/OSHA checklists follow a similar structure as the U.S. TEAM Guides Federal OSH guide. They include the safety programs contained in the General Industry Safety Orders, as well as industry and equipment-specific safety orders. Among the specialized topics covered are passenger tramways, amusement rides, and telecommunications safety orders. For a complete list, visit [(http://goo.gl/S3mnlo)].
