In an effort to better understand its clients’ needs, RegScan sought to gain industry perspective on the alignment to ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) with two primary objectives:
- To identify industries pursuing ISO 45001 certification or alignment, and
- To identify the resources and tools most beneficial to implement an occupational health and safety management system aligned to ISO 45001 criteria.
RegScan collected feedback from 28 survey participants during a 60-day period this summer. Survey respondents represent a varied range of industries with no singular industry leading the results. All respondents self-reported as environmental, health, safety, sustainability, or quality professionals or as direct support for these departments. As for direct OH&S responsibilities, 54% of respondents reported direct responsibility for OH&S while others reported as influencing or contributing to OH&S objectives.
