Starting April 11th, ‘low risk’ businesses were allowed to reopen in most parts of the country. In Tehran, however, business closures continued until April 18th. Despite this partial opening of the country, the President urged the citizens to stay at home as much as possible and to follow the social distancing guidelines.
A Guideline for controlling Covid-19 in public areas has been published to specify the adequate measures to adopt for controlling the virus (See here).
Additionally, the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Commerce has suspended any licensing requirement for the production of sanitary alcohol and stated that all new alcohol production will be distributed among disinfecting gel and material manufacturers (More info).Employers should continue to check with relevant authorities for the latest information:
